About the show
MTM Expo Shanghai is a trade fair for the steel and metallurgy industry, covering everything from raw materials and processing equipment to finished metal products. It traces its origins to the Shanghai International Metallurgy Industry Exhibition, first staged in 1986, and has grown over four decades into one of China’s most established gatherings for the steel and metalworking sector.
The fair brings metallurgy, refractories, casting and forging, steel pipe, metal wire, industrial furnaces and thermal engineering, non-ferrous metals and alloy materials together in one venue. Combining product display with technical forums and buyer programmes, it is a one-stop sourcing and exchange platform for steel mills, equipment makers, processors and trade buyers.

Overseas buyers
MTM works to bring overseas buyers to the Shanghai show floor, and international attendance has grown year on year, making the fair a meeting point for the steel and metallurgy industry worldwide.
Group visits
Pre-registered groups of ten or more receive free tickets, badges mailed in advance, tailored trade matchmaking, on-site group publicity and a complimentary lunch, with coach transfer available for groups of 20 or more travelling from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.
