China International Hardware Show (CIHS) is China’s most established and influential hardware exhibition and, after the International Hardware Fair in Cologne, Asia’s leading hardware sourcing event. It covers the full range of the trade — hand, power and pneumatic tools; building, furniture, door and window hardware; fasteners, wire, nails and mesh; pipe fittings; locks and security products; processing and manufacturing equipment; and garden, work-safety and DIY lines. For Chinese manufacturers it is the main route to both domestic sales and export trade, and the industry treats it as its barometer.

Built up over two decades of editions, CIHS has grown alongside China’s hardware sector, whose export value has risen from around USD 3.8 billion when the fair began to roughly USD 100 billion today. As the sector’s principal meeting point, it serves both as a marketplace between Chinese manufacturers and domestic distributors and as a point of contact with international purchasing groups.
