About the show
WOD Manufacturing Digitalization Expo (Shanghai), also known by the shorthand WODMDX, is a trade fair for the technology, products and system solutions that manufacturers use to digitalise production. Its scope runs from CNC machine tools, additive manufacturing equipment, industrial robots and automation hardware through to industrial software, AI applications, energy and carbon management, and the consulting services that put them to work. The show serves as a matchmaking hub, putting suppliers in front of the decision-makers, technical leads and buyers who run digitalisation projects inside manufacturing companies.
China has been the world’s largest manufacturing economy for 15 consecutive years, and the fair is built around the digitalisation spending that follows: a demand-side study carried out with Ipsos valued that market at RMB 1.2 trillion in 2025 and projected RMB 2.7 trillion by 2030, a compound annual growth rate of 17%. The exhibition floor is organised into five zones — smart manufacturing, intelligent robotics, digitalisation, AI in industry, and green manufacturing and low-carbon technology.
