About the show
Paper Expo China, formally China (Guangzhou) International Pulp & Paper Industry Expo, is a trade show for the pulp and paper industry held in Guangzhou. It was first staged in 2004 and spans the whole of the paper chain — pulp and papermaking machinery, papermaking chemicals, finished paper including specialty grades, tissue and hygiene products, and paper-based alternatives to plastic — from production through to application.
The show serves as a one-stop sourcing platform for pulp and paper mills, brand owners, distributors, printers, paper converters and end users. Its focus follows the industry as it moves towards lower-carbon production and digital manufacturing, with environmental processes, energy-saving equipment and digital production technology shown alongside the products themselves. It also has a strong export dimension, with buyer delegations from across Asia, Europe and the Americas and an international zone for imported pulp, paper, machinery and chemicals.
