About the show
Lijia International Intelligent Equipment Exhibition, known as CWMTE, is a machine tool and intelligent equipment show set in the manufacturing base of western China. It has been staged since 2000 and holds UFI approval, and it now runs as a twin-brand event together with the Chongqing International Industry Expo. Its floor is built around metal cutting machine tools and five-axis machining centres, metal forming and laser processing, additive manufacturing, moulds, die casting, casting and heat treatment, precision manufacturing, metrology, cutting tools and fixtures, and industrial automation and robotics.
The show is planned as a working platform rather than a static display: machine builders run live machining demonstrations, and the programme adds technical forums and process seminars, user and supplier matchmaking, and factory visits. Buyers come from the automotive, motorcycle, aerospace, rail transit, electronics and general machinery industries of Chongqing, Sichuan and Guizhou, alongside visitors from other parts of China and from overseas.

Co-located brands
Since 2026 the show has been staged alongside the Chongqing International Industry Expo, the two brands sharing one venue and one visitor registration. The pairing adds the automotive, motorcycle, aerospace and electronics manufacturing chains of the Chongqing and Sichuan region to the machine tool and intelligent equipment core.
Themed zones
The floor is divided into eight themed zones: metal cutting machine tools; new energy vehicle manufacturing and equipment; automation, embodied intelligence and electronic manufacturing; moulds and additive manufacturing; die casting, casting and heat treatment; rubber and plastics; cutting tools, tooling and quality inspection; and metal forming and sheet metalworking.
Previous edition
The 2026 edition ran over four days at the Chongqing International Expo Center and reported 93,900 m² of exhibition space, 1,288 exhibiting companies, 36,080 professional visitors and 78 conferences and technical sessions. The organiser put overall visitor satisfaction at 96.1 per cent.
Visitor profile
An on-site survey placed automotive and motorcycle manufacturing at 36 per cent of visitors and machinery and parts manufacturing at 13 per cent, with the remainder drawn from rail transit, electronics, fluid machinery, shipbuilding, defence, aerospace, medical devices, research institutes and other manufacturing sectors. Close to 90 per cent of visitors reported some influence over purchasing decisions.
