About the show
SFCHINA has been staged since 1983 and alternates between Guangzhou and Shanghai, giving suppliers and manufacturers in surface finishing and coating a trade platform to present their products and meet buyers face to face. The show is built around plating and surface treatment technology, coating equipment, engineering and services, and special-function coatings, and it draws professional visitors from China, from elsewhere in Asia and from around the world.

Co-located show
SFCHINA is held in parallel with CHINACOAT, the coatings exhibition staged by the same organiser, so a single trip covers both the surface finishing and the coatings sides of the industry.
Previous edition
The 2025 edition closed at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre with 15,700 m² of exhibition space and 303 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, 79 of them first-time exhibitors. It drew 8,510 visitors from 40 countries and regions, 505 of them from outside mainland China.
Concurrent programme
The 2026 edition adds a forum on semiconductor and electronic plating technology and a seminar on how AI is shaping the future of coating.
