Xinjiang International Seed Trade Fair is built around the crop-seed value chain of Xinjiang and the Silk Road countries. It brings together seed companies, breeding institutes and suppliers of inputs and equipment across field and vegetable seeds, seedling processing, seed coating and treatment, packaging and greenhouse machinery, and biological breeding. Buyers get variety introduction, trial planting, variety analysis and on-site procurement at a single point.

The fair runs on two levels: a brand showcase inside the exhibition halls and a field-planting display where candidate varieties are grown and assessed. Staged with the Xinjiang Silk Road Seed Industry Conference, it adds a seed-industry forum, variety recommendation and awards, buyer matchmaking and field demonstrations that link breeding specialists and provincial seed stations with co-operatives, distributors, large-scale growers and buyers from Central Asia.
