About the show
Shanghai International Tire & Wheel Technology Expo (CITWTEXPO) addresses the manufacturing side of the tyre and wheel industry: the equipment, materials, tooling and inspection systems that tyre and wheel factories install. On the tyre side that runs from mixing, extrusion and bead wire through building, curing and moulds to X-ray inspection and uniformity testing; on the wheel side from melting, casting, forging and flow forming through machining and coating to impact, fatigue and dimensional testing. Automation and factory software have categories of their own, covering everything from PLCs and sensors to MES, WMS and ERP.
The exhibition is organised as two sections, tyre technology and wheel technology, each with its own technical presentation stage. Buyers come from tyre and wheel plants — process engineers, equipment and materials purchasers, and technical staff who specify a line before it is ordered — and the show draws international industry visitors alongside the domestic manufacturer base.
