CFSMA EXPO is built around China’s friction and sealing materials chain, and its floor follows the material rather than the finished part. Brake pads, clutch facings, brake blocks and bands are shown alongside the gaskets and O-rings they are paired with in service, and behind both is the input end: graphite, barium sulphate, mineral and glass fibre, phenolic resin, rubber powder and adhesives.

The technical programme is what separates this show from a parts fair. Two conferences run in parallel, one on friction materials and one on sealing materials, with certification bodies, universities and supplier engineers presenting test results and process work, and simultaneous interpretation between Chinese and English. Buyers come from brake and clutch manufacturing, sealing product plants, raw material and equipment suppliers, and vehicle and machinery builders who specify these parts, so the conversation stays technical rather than purely commercial.
