Auto China Mobility is the odd-year edition of Auto China, the Beijing motor show, and it is staged as a themed exhibition rather than a full motor show. The floor splits into vehicles and the engineering behind them: new energy and intelligent connected models on one side, manufacturing engineering, smart factories and digital production lines on the other, with the supply chain that connects the two in the middle.

The programme adds zones a conventional motor show rarely carries — AI inside the vehicle, smart mobility services, new energy transport solutions, intelligent robots — and sets aside space for car culture: motorsport, classic and vintage cars, design work and a science outreach area for younger visitors. That pulls in two audiences at once: engineering and purchasing teams who specify production technology, and distributors, dealers and overseas buyers who come for the vehicles.
