China Aquaculture Expo covers the production side of fish and shellfish farming rather than the seafood counter. Its aisles run from broodstock and fry through feed, feed additives and feed milling, water treatment and disease-control inputs, aeration, pumps, heating and pond infrastructure, and on to the sensors and software that let a farm run on data. A separate block is given to cold chain, processing and packaging equipment, and another to processed aquatic foods, so a visitor can follow one species from hatchery to packing line.

The show is built around the problems commercial farms meet week to week: water quality, stocking density, effluent discharge, disease outbreaks and the cost of feed. Exhibitors and conference sessions share the same floor, so a farm manager can sit in a session on recirculating systems and then walk to the equipment that runs them. Visitors are mostly farmers, hatchery operators, feed formulators, veterinarians and dealers in farm inputs, with technicians and extension staff alongside them.
