About the show

China Bakery Exhibition was the first professional trade fair of its kind in China and now serves as a meeting point for industrial bakeries, in-store bakery sections, coffee and tea operators and the suppliers behind them. Five strands run in parallel: exhibition, conferences, competitions, demonstrations and on-site market events. The programme therefore reaches past buying and selling into product development and recruitment.

A 2021 partnership with Informa widened its frame from bakery into food service, food retail and franchise chains, and the floor reflects that: ingredients and fillings at the core, then frozen-to-fresh lines, snacks, packaging, machinery, coffee, tea and home-baking equipment around them. It is built for buyers whose remit crosses bakery, catering and retail.

Co-located shows
The fair is held alongside Gife, the franchise exhibition, and FHC South China, the regional food and drink show, so a visit can move between bakery, food service and franchise chains without leaving the complex.
Programme
Four strands run beside the stands. Conferences cover a regional development meeting for South China, a health-food and bakery congress, a compliance and innovation conference on bakery and food manufacturing, an overseas buyer matchmaking session, and supermarket retail and e-commerce matchmaking. Showcase areas include a Malaysia bakery zone, a small-appliance zone and the fair’s annual quality innovation awards. Public events run to a Guangzhou coffee, wine and food festival and a bakery snack market, and the competitions include a Greater Bay Area mooncake contest, a frozen-to-fresh bakery championship, a World Coffee Roasting Championship China qualifier and a Cantonese cooking skills contest.
