IC China, the China International Semiconductor Expo, follows the semiconductor chain in production order rather than grouping a single product family. Materials and electronic components, design, equipment, wafer fabrication, packaging and testing sit in consecutive sections, so a visitor can follow a device from substrate to tested part without leaving the floor.

The chain is then extended towards demand: AI chips, advanced process technology, key materials and equipment, and application scenarios are the focus, with immersive zones built around specific IC use cases. Compound semiconductors — gallium arsenide, indium phosphide, gallium nitride, silicon carbide, diamond and gallium oxide — have a section of their own, covering their use in aerospace, oil exploration, broadband communications, automotive manufacturing and smart grids. Regional industry associations and overseas delegations take further sections.
