Dalian International Industrial Fair, known as DIEF, is one of the established industrial shows of Northeast Asia. Its floor groups machine tools and moulds, robotics and factory intelligence, welding and cutting, electronics, hardware tools, casting, die-casting and heat treatment, plastics and rubber, and industrial environmental protection and energy efficiency technology. The fair holds UFI approval and has been recognised as a 5A-rated brand exhibition in Liaoning province.

A group of co-located exhibitions covers the machine tool, robotics, automation and instrumentation, power transmission and control, electronics, ecological and environmental protection, rubber and plastics, welding and cutting, casting, forging and heat treatment, and hardware sectors. Manufacturers, buyers and technical specialists attend from Dalian and the wider Northeast, from Shanghai and other parts of China, and from Japan, South Korea and the Russian Far East.
