Guangzhou International Fisheries & Seafood Expo is a trade fair for the seafood supply chain, built around the trade flows of southern China. Its six zones split the chain by function: imported and domestic seafood, regional speciality and geographical-indication products, marine ranching and artificial reefs, aquaculture technology with feed and animal health, prepared dishes and processing equipment, and cold storage with chilled distribution.

The show leans toward trade buyers rather than the public. Purchasing delegations arrive from Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and much of the floor business is contract negotiation for frozen and live product, equipment and cold-chain capacity. Because Guangdong lands more seafood than any other province in China, the fair sits inside the production base it serves, and equipment makers use it to reach farms along the coast.
