Formnext Asia Shenzhen is the Asian edition of Formnext, the additive manufacturing trade fair held in Frankfurt, and belongs to Messe Frankfurt’s global Formnext network. It first came to China in 2021 as Formnext + PM South China, and took its present name in 2025, widening its remit from South China to serve the whole country and the wider Asian region.

The show follows the entire additive process chain — materials, equipment, software, pre- and post-processing and metrology — and sets it beside advanced forming technologies such as injection moulding and ceramic forming, so that a visitor can trace an idea from design through to production. A programme of forums takes these themes into specific industries, among them robotics, thermal management for AI infrastructure, 3C electronics, aerospace and footwear.
