Global Ocean City (Xiamen) Food Expo is a trade fair for the marine food economy, laid out along the chain from catch to shelf rather than by company size. Live, frozen and processed seafood and pre-cleaned marine ingredients take one block; marine collagen, peptides, algal polysaccharides, astaxanthin, deep-sea fish oil and microalgae take another, together with the supplements, functional foods and biomedical intermediates made from them.

Around those runs the supply side: cold-chain logistics, warehousing, fishing and aquaculture equipment, processing machinery and packaging. A technology hall covers ocean observation, marine engineering, smart fisheries and vessel equipment. Coastal cities and countries hold pavilions of their own, presenting industry parks, cross-border projects and investment openings. The fair runs as the trade-show component of Xiamen International Ocean Week, alongside the policy, research and business meetings the week brings to the city.
