Intermodal Asia is the container shipping and intermodal trade show for the Asian market, and it is organised around the container itself rather than around transport modes. Containers sit at the core — new and used boxes, modular buildings made from them, paint, flooring and flexitanks — with the ports, terminals, dry ports and inland waterway operators that handle them filling the rest of the hall.

A conference runs alongside the floor, drawing on container owners, leasing companies, shipping lines and research institutes. The audience is made up largely of decision-makers from carriers, logistics providers, terminal operators, manufacturers, lessors and surveyors. Cold chain, tracking technology, container grading, insurance and finance are on the floor as well, which is what makes the show useful to a buyer assembling a container service rather than shopping for a single product.
