About the show

MICONEX puts measurement, control and instrumentation on one floor: the instruments, sensors, analysers and control systems that regulate industrial processes, together with the calibration, testing and software that keep them in service. The scope runs from field instruments, PLC and DCS platforms and machine vision through process and laboratory analysis to the chips, components, materials and integration work behind the equipment.

The audience comes from the industries that run on that equipment — petrochemicals, natural gas and coal chemicals, power and new energy, metallurgy, machinery, automotive, pharmaceuticals, food, agriculture, aerospace and electronics — and from the research institutes and university departments that develop it.

Reference

Editions and reach
The show began in 1983, among the first professional exhibitions in China approved with a social organisation as its sponsor, and had run 33 editions before the 2026 one. Over that time it has drawn several thousand companies and tens of thousands of researchers from more than 40 countries and regions, and passed 600,000 visitor entries.
Previous edition (2025)
The 2025 edition drew 450 exhibitors from more than 10 countries and 20,000 trade visitors, with 50 conference sessions, 3,000 delegates and 200 buyers in organised matchmaking.
First Hefei edition
The 2026 edition was the first held in Hefei. The organiser cited the city’s position as a Yangtze River Delta hub and a comprehensive national science centre, and its new energy, integrated circuit, intelligent manufacturing and biomedicine sectors, as its reasons for the move.
Co-located events
The China Instrumentation Congress and the society’s academic annual meeting run alongside, together with a forum of deans of instrument science and technology departments.
Other zones
Beyond the four sectors detailed above, the floor also has zones for measurement, testing and calibration equipment, for special-purpose instruments and for AI+ applications, plus a section where universities, research institutes and local pavilions present research results.
