Known as the “Premier County of Jiangxi,” it is a recognized “Millennium Ancient County” by the United Nations and the birthplace of Nanchang Tea-Picking Opera. Home to Jiangling Motors — one of China’s major automakers — it produced 420,800 vehicles in 2024 and ranks among China’s top-100 county economies by GDP.

🚗 Getting There

  • Rail: The Beijing-Kowloon Railway, Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway, and Anhui-Jiangxi Railway all cross the county. The Xiangtang Marshalling Station is the second-largest railway freight yard in China and the largest in southern China.
  • Road: Three expressways — Guangdong-Jiangxi, Zhejiang-Jiangxi, and Beijing-Fuzhou — serve the county. National highways G105, G316, and G320 also run through the area.
  • Air: Nanchang Changbei International Airport is 30 km away. The county seat is only 15 km from downtown Nanchang.
  • Waterway: The Gan River provides direct cargo access to the Yangtze River and coastal ports.
